A 3-minute documentary about the “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster
The now-iconic “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster was originally produced by the British government during WWII. Despite printing millions of copies, they never ended up using it.
It was forgotten for 50 years and then rediscovered in a used bookstore…

That was utterly charming. Also, I really want to visit that bookstore now.
Interesting. I’d wondered about that poster….. Although the video seems like more of a commercial for the bookstore. They make it sound like the only original poster in existence is in the store. That can’t be the case.
What a delightful book shop! I’d love to go there.
Thanks a lot, Abraham. In 45 years, I’ve never had a desire to leave this country.
NOW … MUST … VISIT … BOOKSTORE !!
By Jove, Abraham! I think you’ve got it!
I didn’t even know the Chive was around in the interwar period.
That was very interesting, and the music was phenomenal! Thanks for sharing, Abe! :)
