When I worked in the Coca Cola warehouse back in 1973 in Victoria, one of my (boring) jobs was to climb up the sides of the massive 40 foot high stacked palettes of Coke and Fanta cartons and glue any of the ends that had come undone closed again. Having arrived at the top of the stack I soon realized that if I was to go to the middle of the large sea of coke cartons, nobody could see me from the ground level…sooo I dug out a few dozen cartons and made myself a cave in the boxes..from then on I would get to work armed with a good book, climb up to my hidden den and spend the rest of the day in idleness. It was only months later when a top Coca Cola exec from the states arrived and climbed up onto the cat walk that he spotted me going into my den and not reappearing..so I had been busted and was fired…bummer…
