World’s largest albino family

They are taunted as ‘angrez’ and ‘firangi’ by neighbours in the downtrodden JJ Colony near Delhi’s Kanhaiya Nagar. But if the future smiles, Rose Durai Pullan’s family will soon have a shot at fame — in the Guinness World Records, as the world’s biggest albino family. Pullan, 50, his wife Mani, 45, and their three daughters and three sons are praying to make it to the Guinness list, but until last week they didn’t even know about its existence.

I find the condition interesting. However I hope people are not poking fun or laughing at them. They actually look fine compared to some other albino people I have seen.
That’s sad that people taunt them. They are human beings like you and me, just with lighter skin.

They look so Swedish – not just in coloring but bone structure. I would not have thought Indians and Swedes would look alike, other than complexion. interesting how much a person’s color affects perception, and I’m not refering to racism, but simply looks.

Caucasian are similar ppl compared to ppl in middle east to India. They just differnt skin color due to their different environment and climate. Europeans developed light skin because back in time, Europe was mostly snowland. But the theory that ppl saying Europeans are albino Indian ppl is nonsense.

No, their bone structure does NOT look Swedish. You are just being ignorant! They have a foreign look with their bone structures. Just look at their noses and their cheeks and eyebrow ridges. It is so obvious they don’t have European looks (as much as you might have hoped)
They’ve got blue eyes. Blue is a pigment. Albinism is characterized by absence of pigmentation. Ergo, they are not truly albinos….

Neither answer is wrong. It depends on the severity of the albinism.
So, people are making fun of them because they look like Swedish people? That’s not being very nice to Sweden.

Hi Lulu. I wasn’t referring to you. :) I was referring to the people in their neighbourhood who taunts them.
Pale blue eyes are typical for human albinos. Goddes of Thunder must be thinking of albino rabbits, which have pink eyes. But some of these people do have freckles and the mom has a large mole on her check, which is pigmented, so this family does have some pigmenting.
My apologies then Carel J. I was the one who said they looked Swedish – their neighbors taunt them simply because they don’t look like everyone else – I don’t think they think it through to what they do look like ;-)

Are we ever truly happy and satisfied with what we look like? It seems we always want to look like somebody else…
They should not be made fun of by their neighbourhood people because they are the same as them but with different skin colour!!…..the neighbours must be retards and do not understand them…..and calling them ‘angrez’ which means English is clearly their misunderstanding because the neighbours are all retards and don’t know what an albino is!!……btw they are actually nice looking people and should not be made fun of!!

I have an albino friend and her eyes are light blue, very fair skinned and white hair. Some of these people have a reddish tint to their hair. I hope they aren’t in a culture where the albinos are hunted for their body parts.
