It’s wonderful that she’s chosen to work with children. I hope in time they can see it as something to be accepted and not something to be laughed at.
stuff like this is why i respect steven fry so much, he tackles thoughts on drugs, pirating, the money that’s involved with the acting and presenting, and now this too.
People need to be much more open minded, as with a lot of other stuff, and as he says here it’s not the words that are used, it’s how they’re used. A similar thing could be said for “racist” stuff, me and my black mate constantly joke about kfc, and me and my italian friend have joked about being greasy and leaving oil slicks; we use it as humour, anyone can humour anyone for a laugh as long as it is USED in that way. I’ll take a joke just as well about how english people always drink tea, have bad teeth and always get sun burnt etc, people just need to lighten up.

As someone who has Tourette’s (albeit much more mild than hers), I quite enjoyed this.
