Didn’t someone once say this was the difference between nerds and geeks?

    • Janine says:

I grew up thinking ‘nerds’ were the computer gamer, fantasy loving, unsocial types, whereas ‘geeks’ were just really brainy… and I suppose also anti-social. Nerds can be brainy too, but often their knowledge of Star Trek and sci-fi outweighs their knowledge of actual physics?

Eh, I dunno. The difference is quite small… but my point is, I wouldn’t call hipster-wannabe types nerds OR geeks! As soon as video games go back out of fashion, they will be on to the next trend and the true nerds can shine again :P

  2. Olivia says:

According to this, real nerds don’t have eyes…

  4. A real nerd says:

Technically, it should be “people who call themselves nerds.” </grammar geek>

  5. Amanda says:

this is seeming very true, i don’t recall nerd’s fashionable pocket protectors or D&D robes being “in” this year….

  6. Bunny says:

  8. Kay A. Ess says:

So, the difference between nerds and those that call themselves nerds is physical beauty. *sigh*

  9. Amy W. says:

If you watch The Big Bang Theory – Leonard is a geek. Raj and Howard are nerds.

  10. B says:

    who cares.

  11. Tiffany S says:

Did any one see that reality show “King of the Nerds” or something like that? I never watched it but from the previews It was full of people on the right, and I always wondered when nerds became so fashionable (or maybe trendy is better?)!
