Fascinating, but the music and commentary makes Cameron seem like he has no concern for the human life being lost in that short segment. You’ll find he does if you read the NG article, but be aware that this video segment doesn’t capture that concern very well.

i figure thats because hes just pointing out the technical/mechanical aspects of what physics did to the ship as it sank. that would be seperate in my mind as well. the reality of terror stricken people losing their lives is just the outer layer of this tragedy.

Crazy. My family and I just visited the newly opened Titanic exhibit in Belfast a few days ago earned all about this. It was a fascinating and moving experience.

  3. Elston Gunn says:

In the movie that came out in the mid-nineties, the stern raises all the way up to vertical. But the video shows that wasn’t accurate at all. The director should have consulted this guy. ;)

  4. Stephanie says:

How creepy was it every time Cameron said, “Yep. That looks good….yep. good…?”

  5. Jessie says:

Well, this confirms what many have suspected.
    James Cameron is a robot.

    • AStev says:

The real James Cameron was killed in 1993 and replaced with a robot imposter. Incredibly life-like, but terrible taste in films.

Films from the real James Cameron:
      – Terminator & Terminator 2
      – Aliens
      – The Abyss

Films from the imposter James Cameron:
      – True Lies
      – Titanic
      – Avatar

Really, it should have been obvious all along.

  6. Becky says:

That’s so nuts. I have always wondered how it happened.

And seriously? I’m pretty sure this video was about getting the CGI correct according to what happened and nothing to do with the tragedy of lost lives. I think it’s pretty obvious in other videos and commentaries how James Cameron feels about the tragedy as a whole.

Unfortunately I watch this BEFORE I watched the 2 hour documentary that I TiVoed the night before.
