Nuclear explosion .016 seconds after detonation
Sixteen milliseconds after the first nuclear device was detonated in 1945, this photograph was taken…

The bubble is about 600 feet wide and the black dots along the ground in front of the explosion are trees. Immediately afterward, a ball of fire shot 7.5 miles into the sky and the desert sand within 800 yards was turned to glass.

And that was 1945…
It’s a scrubbing bubble! They do the work so you don’t have to… (I cannot think of that quote without thinking about Joe Dirt). And now my mind has wandered once more………..
…you beat me to it!
I agree. It’s one of these bad boys: http://tinyurl.com/bnzlh9n
“…and Man, proud Man, dressed in a little brief authority, does such tricks before high Heaven, as makes the Angels weep…”
…most ignorant of what he’s most assur’d
I think I have one of these on my back
Am I the only one that thinks it’s pretty?
It IS extremely pretty. I just LOVE looking at pictures of nuclear explosions. They fascinate me.
