he barely tapped that guy and he falls to the ground like Tyson has decked him.
don’t jump on me, I played soccer/football and seen it first hand and we are the most notorious for freaking out over being tapped and acting like you were hit with a skud missile. Unless he poked him in the eye which would have warranted falling to the ground, the guy should try Broadway.
I wonder what it is about soccer that makes it normal? I mean yeah, the rest of us laugh at it, but if a guy tried to do that in baseball or football or anything else he’d be laughed out of the stadium.
Best guess is that they do it because the refs fall for it, as a former soccer ref it can be hard to tell when someone’s being a drama queen, and because they’ll do anything to get the ball back or disprut the flow of the game. I feel like sometimes they do it if they’ve made a mistake and are embarrassed so they fake an injury as an excuse. At least reffing the same league for years and watching their games from the sidelines taught me who to be skeptical of. I’ve noticed that the men do this much more than women, which I find interesting and, as a female, awesome. I agree, trying this in baseball or football would be stupid but I have seen in college basketball a few times in the past couple years.
Those guys are like dogs. Stand your ground and hit back, they’ll cringe like little wussies, but once you start running the pack’ll get you.
Never create a riot with soccer players–they are completely useless.
The way the first went down I would say just tap the rest on the shoulders and have the other ref count them out ;)
Soccer players are wimps.
