I live near The Deep in Hull where this was filmed. Makes me want to go, but I’ll be disappointed if there are no seahorse deliveries when I’m there!

LOL… I have no idea but every time he heaved, I heard in my head “BAM!” Uncontrollable laughter at a seahorse giving birth while at the office. Awesome. I thank you.

  10. Stephanie says:

eerrrr. Wow. I’m… not sure how I feel about this, lol. It looks horrifying, yet… completely normal…WHY ARE THEY COMING OUT THE MALE? What exactly would you even CALL that orifice?

    • Stephanie says:

on another note, that is a LOT of bebehs.

      • Stephanie says:

lastly, since when does the female insert her thing into the male to make babehs?

        • Aim says:

The eggs are fertilized within the body of the female and then she transfers them to the male’s pouch. I’m not up on my seahorse reproductive anatomy so I’m not sure exactly how the egg transfer works but it’s pretty cool. They do have sooo many babies, I knew it was a lot but 1800 is impressive!

  11. Carol Cannon says:

AWESOME!!! I’ve kept seahorses, but we only got about 10 to 12 babies each time.
