Run your hand through water with some leaves or something floating in it, and you’ll see the leaves follow your hand. The movement through a fluid can create a vacuum-ish effect, the larger the frontal area and the faster the object, the more of a vacuum.
Dennis Christopher did it better — AND passed the truck.
I was thinking the same thing! Reminded me of that scene.
That doesn’t seem very safe.
Man, he’s gotta be hoping to hell that bus doesn’t stop suddenly!
At first I thought, “Wow, and he’s not wearing a helmet.”
Then I realized that if he crashes at 55 mph, he’s pretty well screwed either way.
How is he not pedaling?

One good pothole and he’s road mush.
It’s all fun and games till someone loses a head….
If you look carefully, I think the speedometer is in kph. So that translates to ~34/35 mph. Still impressive (and stupid…er, dangerous).
Edit: Nvm. The car is going 90 kph/55mph. That’s fast.
