Bizarre display of cutting-edge soccer fashions – Germany, 1970
In this strange clip, 3 guys on a German TV show talk about the need for soccer uniforms to be more interesting while dancing models show off some colorful new shorts and jerseys…

Sprockets!
Touch him, feel him!
That awkward moment when you remember that 40 years ago you snorted cocaine, put on a rainbow colored soccer uniform, and danced around on German television.
I find it amusing that the host has to describe the colors for viewers with black and white TV sets.
Omg! I knew he was describing the colours but didn’t know why… that’s interesting :)
Das hat aber Spaß gemacht!
I miss the days when dancing required little effort or rhythm. Sigh…
This looks like a lost episode of Are You Being Served.
“Mr Humphries, are you free to show these lithesome young gentlemen our updated line of German football jerseys and short shorts?”
“IIIIIIIIII’m free!”
“strange clip” is an understatement. it’s so odd i’m not even quite sure if its funny.
why are these videos so “creepy’?
And this is why soccer gets a bad rap in the US….GO MAN U!
o-m-g….the uniforms aren’t bad but the regular clothes & hairstyles back then were HORRIBLE. and why not get people who could dance or just use soccer players walking with the uniforms on? i just threw up in my mouth a lil bit lol.
They’re not bad dancers, they’re actually pretty good. They’re dancing to samba music, because hello, Brasil was the winner of the 1970 World Cup, so guess what? They had a huge influence on soccer at that time. And it’s better to watch soccer uniforms in motion on dancers than on people just standing there, or what…mimicking soccer moves? Now THAT would be weird. Personally, I find it bizarre that people these days are so freaked out by seeing anyone normal-looking and happy on camera, just enjoying themselves dancing and feeling free to do so. Sad statement about how paranoid, critical and negative our society has become, when something like this becomes odd and bizarre. IT’S JUST PEOPLE DANCING AROUND IN SOCCER UNIFORMS, for crying out loud.
