Everyone imagines they’re perceiving accurately. Calling this “eerie” is somewhat ironic.
That’s not an example of irony.
Well, is it eerie?

This comic has always creeped me out. Some people say that Jim Davis was trying to imply that that entirety of the Garfield cartoons took place while Garfield was hallucinating as he slowly starved to death. As far as I know, he never denied this.
“He has only one weapon left… Denial”
This reminds me of a movie i watched in theatres recently about a guy who got out of an insane asylum after his house burtn down with his wife in it… He went back to his broken down, dilapidated home to put together the pieces of what happened, but in his mind he was moving in to a new, warm, loving home where his wife welcomed him with open arms.
What movie is that?
Wait, never mind… I just thought I watched it, I can’t seem to find any record of it…
Well, It appears you may be hallucinating.
No, you’re right! It was called the Dream House!
