Mama cat (sort of) accepts an orphaned squirrel as one of her own kittens

A lady and her 8-year-old grandson recently rescued a baby squirrel they found alone under its nest. They named it Bushytail and deposited it among five new kittens that their cat had just had. Despite being a bit suspicious of the newcomer, the mama cat begrudged it her milk and the kittens don’t mind it at all, of course.
So it seems — as long as the cat’s maternal instinct toward nurturing continues to overpower her predatorial instinct toward rodenticide — life is looking good for young Bushytail…

D’awwwww…. I had a baby squirrel once. He was so cool. One of the neighbors killed him, though. :/
This needs a follow up story.
if only humans were as accepting the world would be a much better place…thanks for sharing…
But we are. Or did you miss the fact that America was the first nation that quite literally accepted all comers? The first time that “nation” did not describe a race of people, but instead all who wanted to be Americans?
Aww. This is so cuuute! :D
Aren’t there some republicans here to delegalize this? It’s unnatural, how will I explain this to my children?
hahahaha
How many times were you dropped on your head as a child?
And then all the kittens died from rabies, along with their mother.
Wild animals carry so many diseases it’s terrifying. Hanta virus is completely asymptomatic in squirrels and deadly to humans. Sure, it’s cute….until your family get sick and has to be quarantined.
Really…just can’t see the cuteness of the moment can ya
