having been in several accidents, i can tell you that the guy in the car is shook up and probably won’t even remember getting out of his car. i’m sure in a minute he will be more sympathetic.
Yeah, I was about to say something until I remembered my own head-on collision from high school. All I remember is having an insane adrenaline high and a feeling of gratitude for still being alive. The driver in the video was definitely in shock.
I knew someone who died from a similar incident. The truck landed on top of his vehicle coming the opposite direction when it tipped. That car in front in this video got past just in time.
According to the video description beneath the video on its YouTube page, this is on the M-4 highway around Kabardinka, a city in the very southwesternmost portion of Russia on the northern coast of the Black Sea. Here’s a link to the aerial maps of Kabardinka on Google Maps: http://g.co/maps/xpc8k.
The description is: Авария участок трасса М-4 ДОН Кабардинка-Новороссийск. Copying and pasting that into Google Translate gets this result: “The accident site the M-4 DON Kabardinka-Novorossiysk”.
Well, my previous post seems a bit short of thorough. Novorossiysk is also a city near Kabardinka. They’re 25.1km apart via the M4, “also known as the Don Highway”, according to Wikipedia. So I guess the poster’s description is more accurately understood as indicating that the accident occurred somewhere on that stretch of the M4. Here’s a link to the Google Maps directions between the two cities: http://g.co/maps/ztv75
My question is: does it say why the person was videoing? It seems a little too convenient that the person was videoing at the exact right moment for this…
I think I remember reading a previous thread about driving in Russia (the video of a guy who jumped in front of a car trying to get hit, who then gets beat up by the angry driver). The consensus was that most Russians started installing video cameras in their cars due to a ridiculous amount of insurance fraud. They all want proof so they don’t get stuck with false insurance claims. Could definitely be wrong, though :)
Love how the truck driver is trapped in his cab and the guy gets out of the car and doesn’t even look at anything but his bumper. Nice.

the truck driver is lucky he’s alive! that really sucks though
i agree with you because he took a curve too fast and wasn’t concerned about the person(s) he may have injured or killed.
THAT WAS BORING, the car slowed down, i wanted to see full on smashed car crash!!!!
yeah i really hate when things don’t turn out more tragic for our amusement too! BUMMER!!!

Any idea where this is?
My only guess is somewhere in Europe. The plates and smaller cars give that part away.
Not sure where though.
