This reminds me of some years that I spent in Switzerland and the kids would try to get me to say “kitchen cupboard” in Swiss German because it just can’t be done by a foreigner. Cute video. :)
we do that all the time and actually some people really manage to do it well :) “Chuchichäschtli” ist how you write it and if you can conquer the hard “ch”-sound (it’s like if you have something stuck in your throat), then that word is easy ;)
It kept them from having to move the camera for every kid. If you’ll notice, the tallest kid’s head barely skims the top of the frame. And the smallest kid’s face can still be seen. I think it’s cute.
that wasn’t mocking, that was having fun with a long word.
my six year old didn’t do any better than they did.
I wouldn’t consider it mocking him if someone were to film him trying to say that longest and most difficult English word. it’s just cute and interesting to see how some of them were up to the challenge. :)
If I mock children who don’t naturally speak my language, will you give me some money too?
I don’t think they are mocking those kids.
Sound like mocking to me.

Cute video, but who taught the cameraman how to frame those terrible headshots?

I liked the little boy who raises his eyebrows. Very cute :)
And the one who flared his nostrils.
That was so sweet :)

Must’ve worked. My Khmer teacher is quite proud of his ability to say this word at lightning speed.
