Beautiful footage of America’s endangered species
This video from National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore was made in 2009 to promote his book RARE: Portraits of America’s Endangered Species. If you know the current status of any of these animals — whether they’re still endangered or not — let us know in the comments…

I know that the Bald Eagle is not on the endangered list anymore. It is still federally protected though.
anyone know why that turtle had a weird pink bump on its stomach (the one that came out of the shell)….it looked weird but then again I’ve never seen a turtle being born so maybe it’s normal…
It’s the yolk sac.
