Baby otter is a reluctant swimming student, mama teaches anyway

Otters are not born with the will or the skill to swim. Despite swimming being key to their survival, mothers must teach their pups the essentials of navigating the water.
And the pups are not necessarily happy about it…

So glad my mom didn’t bite my face when I was learning to walk.
That is just to cute. I always thought that swimming was a natural instint.
OH my goodness! That looks so much like me trying to get my children dressed! Or fed! Or ANYTHING! You have to force them and you get so used to it, it’s like I’m making you do it and that’s that, let’s go! hahahahaha oh man that was hilarious.
I once worked at an smaller amusement park/zoo in Georgia. At one time, they had an otter enclosure until fish began mysteriously disappearing from their very large stocked fishing pond. They installed motion detecting night-vision cameras and voila! The river otter thieves who had been leaving their enclosure at night and returning in the morning were revealed! They relocated the river otters and the fishing pond is now over-run with carp…
