This brought tears to my eyes, I’m not exactly sure why. Maybe it reminded me what a magnificent step it is in the American ethos to have a black, reasonably-liberal, president, who at least seems to have compassionate views and a kind heart, regardless of how well (or poorly) the reality of the situations seem to affect what he can actually do. The fact that this guy can be president gives me a little hope that not everything is as gloomy as it seems. Also, in general, I always get happy seeing mixed-race families. I harbor a hope that we’ll all eventually become beige.
By the way, Obama is way way cuter than Romney. In fact, the 12 pictures of Romney freak me out a little.
