Chinese farmer holds up traffic to herd his 5,000 ducks to their pond
A farmer and his assistant from the Chinese city of Taizhou, each armed with a length of bamboo, recently maneuvered 5,000 ducks 3 quarters of a mile through traffic to a pond. It is, apparently, only a yearly tradition, so motorists were more bemused than annoyed…

I take my ducks to the pond sometimes…
this quacks me up….
Must be expensive to shut down traffic like that. I wonder how big the bill was?
That’s a lot of Peking Duck!
And people wonder why I love living in China. There’s always something interesting to see. Just this afternoon, outside the gate of my fairly upscale apartment complex in Beijing, a peasant pulled up in a van with cages full of live chickens. As my yuppie neighbors came home, they could stop, buy a chicken, have it slaughtered, and take it in for dinner. I wonder of the hog butcher will show up tomorrow. Wherever will my neighbors park their Audi’s now?
… if you like death. O_O;;;
