A “zipper truck” moves a highway median barrier over a lane
This barrier transfer machine — or “zipper truck” — moves the temporary median that runs along Presidio Parkway in San Francisco from one lane to the next. The process is so efficient that they actually relocate the median twice a day to accommodate traffic flow at different times…

That’s clever!
They have one here in Hawaii. It helps relieve a lot of traffic during the rush hours. Traffic still stinks though.
I want to drive one! Maybe for, like, one day. Or two. Then it would probably get old.
zzzzz…..
This doesn’t sound at first like something that would be interesting, but it’s neat to actually watch.
I would have fun with this my last day on the job.
We have this in southern cali also, there is one on the Coronado Bridge in San Diego and one on I15 between hwy 78 and 163 split. it is helpful!
