This was quite possibly the most boring post ever.

Pantone® is colour represented by alphanumeric code which makes it possible for people to appropriate colours to digital media.

      Her blog says:

“The project development is based on a series of portraits whose background is dyed with the exact Pantone® tone extracted from a sample of 11×11 pixels of the portrayed’s face. The project’s objective is to record and catalog all possible human skin tones.”

Well boring it might be for those who don’t care to know how images appear on their computer screen, but it’s particularly useful for digital artists.

I’ll have to show my 6yo. Every time she draws a picture of a person, or colors a coloring book, she chooses yellow for the skin tone. Like we’re all muppets. Haha

I have to say, that this is a rather interesting post. I really like it and it’s not only science, but also art of it’s own.

What a cool way to illustrate the diversity of humanity.
