Is this wild where they live? We get wild Gopher Tortoises here (Florida) and they will bite but it doesn’t really hurt. They just want you out of there way or some attention (food if you have it). We used to have one that would come into the house and annoy my dogs. They are fast.

Tortoise just wants a hug. Everyone always runs away though.. #foreveralone
