Color pencil portraits of funny families from TV and Movies [10 pictures]
Artist Kirk Demarais has been drawing portraits of fictional families from television and cinema since 1988. Here is a small selection of his work. Check out his gallery for lots more.
The Buellers, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

The Bluths, Arrested Development

The Johnsons, The Jerk

The Fischers, Rushmore

The Griswolds, National Lampoon’s Vacation

The Hoovers, Little Miss Sunshine

The Weirs, Freaks and Geeks

The Huxtables, The Cosby Show

The McDunnoughs, Raising Arizona

Corky St. Clair, Waiting for Guffman

And, yes, maybe by some definitions this last one isn’t a “family,” per se. But I think we all know he deserves to be here.

I grew up on the Cosby Show, but I cannot for the life of me figure out who the extra kid is to the left of Rudy. Any help?
I was just about to ask the same question.
The artist says it’s Brian Petsos. Not sure how he connects to the show. I’m assuming it’s just a quirky addition requested by the person who commissioned the drawing, which in this case, interestingly, was Kristen Wiig.
He was in MacGruber with Krisen Wiig, so I’m guessing it’s an inside joke…or rather, who didn’t want to be a Cosby kid?! I was wondering who it was too, thanks for posting the info!
I was thinking the same thing!
People don’t like fire poked…poked!…in their noses.
These are really cool. There’s no George Sr. in the Arrested Development picture though. Perhaps he was in prison?
all of these are pretty close and WAY better than i could ever imagine doing but the griswolds one needs more work. helen specifically.
