Ahhh – you had me until you made a blanket statement about Americans and what we think about our country. Some of us here do not believe that America is the greatest country on earth and we developed that attitude – watching the BBC.
It’s all blanket statements, it’s not personal.
Some people in Great Britian DO think it’s the best country ever! He’s just generalising so there is a benchmark of understanding.
I really want to visit Texas – do they like English there? What about Italians?
