I’m with you on this one. The group of guys on the left of the photo are standing waiting for something to happen. The cop isn’t looking at the cat. The photographer is standing in the middle of the road. The car in the centre has far more contrast than the rest of the photograph, so there has been some post-production work.
it is staged, after the actual scene happen though. the photographer got a call about a policeman that stop the traffic to allow the mother cat pass, but when he got in the scene its already over. so he convince cat owner and the policeman to recreate the scene and after three attempts they got this pics.
Best. Picture. Ever! So sweet that they would stop the traffic for a kitty and her baby.

Hmmm, I guess it could be staged. Still a great pic, though :D I’m a crazy cat lady so pretty much any picture with cat I love :D Haha.
