Al Roker’s hilarious response to Savannah Guthrie’s Holy Spirit joke
After Savannah Guthrie made a comment last Thursday on The Today Show about leaving room for the Holy Ghost, Al Roker made eye contact with us, the viewers, by staring into the camera. But he didn’t just make eye contact, he maintained it, stock still with a silly face, for 17 straight seconds, an eternity on Television…
Among other theories propounded to explain Roker’s peculiar actions, some have said it was simply an attempt at humor. If so, it was a successful one, indeed.

Not so much hilarious as creepy. Al Roker is starting to be a little too much like Willard Scott. He’s like the uncle at family reunions that just keeps being awkward.

Get a grip sharon! The joke might have come as a shock to Roker’s religious sensibilities. I thought it was hilarious but I think it struck a holy nerve in Roker. Just sayin!
