I certainly plan to follow #1-7 of what Vonnegut said, and hope that doing so improves my writing. However: I have to think more about #8. I like stories with twists in them– I like suspense in stories– is there a way to preserve some of what #8 says without going as far as to entirely do away with suspense? What do other readers think?
The writers did what worked for them in their own genre. Stephen King’s advice will not work for everyone, for instance. Go your own way. Be suspenseful.
My favorite part is where they refer to Ray Bradbury as Ray Branbury.
That and anything Kurt Vonnegut says.
I didn’t notice that. Hilarious!
I probably follow Vonnegut’s number six too much… something may be wrong with me:)

Do they make these as posters? I would love a couple for my classroom!
I ADORE G.K. Chesterton! He is incredible!
Mr. Vonnegut’s signature kind of looks like a bunch of scribbles. I can’t make out the letters.
It’s not a bunch of scribbles, it’s his self portrait. A doodle of himself.
