Celebrity and superhero impersonators looking sad [10 pictures]
Last year, Los Angeles photographer Nicolas Silberfaden reached out to the people in his hometown who work as celebrity and superhero impersonators and asked to take their pictures. Of course, an impersonator getting their picture taken isn’t unusual — it’s part of the gig.
But Silberfaden’s request was a little different. Not only did he take studio portraits rather than snapshots, he asked the lookalikes to “manifest feelings of genuine sadness.” Some of his subjects interpreted this request with looks of stony resignation; others called forth more emotion and look truly distraught…
