I can’t figure out what his point is. No one anywhere ever thought that Steve Jobs literally built or invented everything that came out of Apple on his watch. However, he was a tyrannical fanatic who was enough of a jerk to push for excellence, he had a pretty reliable instinct for what would work and what wouldn’t, and he also had the ruthless confidence to say “no” to all kinds of things which competitors were doing or pundits were wanting. Those are some pretty rare characteristics.
Also, I don’t think Steve Jobs was ever in what Bill is calling the “Gandhi, Jesus” commercials (the crazy ones), which I don’t think featured Jesus, either. Here’s an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjgtLSHhTPg
Not to say that either Bill Burrs or I am right, but I AM glad to know I’m not the only one that’s ever thought that…
Right or not, this is hilarious.
What Bill said. (And what Bill said.)
