Cat nurses her kitten…and 4 orphaned hedgehogs, too [pictures and video]
When the mother of four little hedgehogs died, another new mother was generous enough fill in. Now, in some unspecified town in Russia, a cat is nursing her own kitten and, in addition, four adopted hedgehogs. And fortunately for us that cat’s owner uploaded some pics and video…

Oh no! This is a,most unbearably cute! Love all of them.
when do they start getting pokey? what happens when she grooms them as is a mother cats natural instinct? These are serious questions as I know nothing about baby porkys.
Their quills emerge after birth. The quills lay flat when they’re calm though. So unless the mother cat licks them against the grain of the quills it shouldn’t pose a problem. Also, hedgehog quills are not barbed like porcupine quills so getting poked by a quill is like being pricked by a sewing pin.
beyond sweet!!
WHAT A LOVELY FAMILY!!! <3 <3
It’s given incredible how the nature provides such incredible and caring for the rest of the creatures, even if they haven’t given birth to them. In my country they throw babies everywhere. This is a very nice way of how generous animals can be to each others.
People, follow the exemple!!
Thank you for taking the time to share all these pictures and video!! I appreciate it!!! Loved the pictures!!!
That’s what I call a great blended family!
