Mom turns her infant son’s nap positions into awesome activities with a pen
You’ve probably seen Adele Enersen’s photography before. She’s the mother and artist who dressed her baby up for naps and set her in various imaginary “dream” settings made out of everyday items. The photos made the rounds a couple years ago and then became a book.
This past summer she did a similar but simpler series with another child, this time snapping pictures of his naps with her iPhone and then quickly sketching his “activities” onto the photo…

She’s so genius!!!

What a great idea!
Put that baby on his side, not his stomach and definately not his back.
What on earth are you talking about? There is no existing recommendation for babies to solely side sleep. Further, if the mother is with the baby, the baby can sleep in whatever position is comfortable, now what some random poster on the internet thinks is best.
Are you joking? She’s RIGHT there.
What’s more, you’re not even correct.
“Research has found a link between sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and babies who sleep on their stomachs (in the prone position). Experts now agree that putting a baby to sleep on his/her back is the safest position. Side-sleeping has a higher risk for SIDS than back sleeping.”

I don’t think he’s even asleep in these pictures, so no worries Lulu.
Lulu, STFU.
And those loud DJ sounds are very bad for a child’s developing ears.
You Legend. Perfect answer.
Wow, com’on Lulu. They are just creative pictures n you took it too a whole other unnecessary level! Nice idea Mommy!!
Just another person trying to start an argument over NOTHING at all.
The baby isn’t even actually asleep in these pictures and the mom is RIGHT there with him, but either way, it’s the mom’s concern, not yours, mine, or anyone else. She decides what she feels is best for him. This isn’t about a debate on baby sleep positions, it’s about the photography/art. Appreciate it and move on.
Definitely. Not definitely.
Wow Lulu, I hope to GOD you don’t have kids.
Right Lulu- and if she leaves that child out in the rain, or chinning over the fence like that, he’s sure to be injured. Good on you for pointing out ANOTHER example of incompetence on the internet.
omg I love your sarcasm.. Come on lulu think before you make a silly comment.
Love these!

woow, nice creativity of a mum :)
Haha! These are absolutely brilliant! I should try this with photos of my girlfriend… she sleeps like a baby :P
Awesome mom! Make her baby a real rock star at a very early stage. But I should say Hats Off!
ha.ha.. awesome ideas.. i like it
Teaming up with Fonda for the recent thespian’s initial headline in over a decade, Lopez scored a modest hit with the parody Creature relative-in-law. In 2006, Lopez tried her hand at generating with Bordertown, a heroic tale she to boot asterisked in inverse Antonio Banderas.

These are just too cute! What fun!
Surely there is more chance of a baby inhaling its own vomit on its back. I registered as a childrens nurse in the 60′s and we were told never to leave a baby on its back. I prefer to follow this rule than risk a child vomiting on its back, which could then lead to pneumonia.
As for these pictures the baby is on his tummy ‘awake’ and half awake on the others and Mum is there obviously watching over him to be able to do the drawings.
As for the remark about it being dangerous baby climbing a fence, leaving a child out in the rain and being injured, and the music hurting his ears…..give the Mum a break it’s all in fun and something for baby to look back on in the future. What a creative Mum you have baby.
Things have changed in the last 50 years…. I worked at a daycare in the nursery for 2 years and we are only allowed to put children on their backs when they sleep.
Honey, you realize the remarks about the baby climbing the fence being dangerous were made in jest, right??
Damn, you just went full-on potato.
adorable,
what a cute lil guy…

A pure demostration of the politically correct. Way to take away from the fun idea of an evidently fun mother. It’d be really cool for the baby to have these when they’re older!
Such imagination! The little one is so cute! These really made me smile!

what a creative way to have fun with photography
The first one is my fave image.
Have these not reminded anyone else of Harold and the Purple Crayon??
YES! Harold and the Purple Crayone was SO creative! That’s what we need more of these days! The delight of simplicity!
wow cute baby hahaha
I am surprised that no one mentioned/complained about the fact that she drew the baby doing a “rain dance”. You’d think that would’ve sparked more controversy than what position the baby should be in when they’re sleeping!
wow! some comments are just wow. May I should add mine. Im Native American and so upset she use this stereotype on the baby to mock all Natives. Can I sue her?
yeah just kidding
