Abandoned Detroit high school, then and almost now
A couple years ago, the folks at Detroiturbex spent time photographing every room in the old Lewis Cass Technical High School building in Detroit, which was abandoned after a 2007 fire. Then they superimposed onto those pictures photographs taken when the school was in use. Since then, the building has been demolished, so the background pictures aren’t actually “now,” but close enough…

Haunting…..
That’s really cool. They look like ghosts. I long for the missing kids and for the fun and interesting experiences they got to experience in the school.

wut
You long for children…?
yes
Interesting and a little sad. The small, private high school I graduated from probably looks something like this. It closed 6 or so years ago.
My high school was flooded 9-13 feet after hurricane Katrina. A couple of years ago we had a class reunion and got to go back to the building. Many of the rooms looked like these. It was so crazy to see what once was practically our home in complete shambles.
To bad it’s destroyed. The Muppets could have cleaned that place up in one song.

As a 17 year old, I love abandoned places @ looking at pictures. hadn’t this school been demolished, I would have been absolutely thrilled to explore this school.
