New Lego ads are pop culture riddles…Can you get them all? [10 pictures]

In another installment of Lego’s minimalist ads, we’re given a picture of bricks and a category — movie, book, song, etc. — and then we get to guess the answer. See if you can figure them out.

(I was going to put the answers at the bottom of the post, but then I decided I’d leave the solutions up to you.)

I have never seen Reservoir Dogs, so I didn’t get the reference. Number 7 makes more sense as the Tortoise and the Hare, but I initially saw Wizard of Oz. I saw the plain beige character going over the rainbow (although not colored) toward the emerald green character. Far stretch, I know.

      • Lizz says:

The seven blocks are the seven robbers. The clue is the colours each man in R dogs (I can’t spell the first word) is given a coloured name. Ie Mr blue, Mr pink Mr white. They don’t know each other when they attempt the diamond robbery and it means if they get caught they still don’t know names of who they worked with. Without going into to much detail that’s the reason for the seven bricks :)

    need help with 2, 3, 4, and 6

  3. Mamadala says:

I think 3 is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

  4. Casey says:

The first must be Three Little Pigs, the third Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the fifth Gulliver’s Travels, the seventh is The Tortoise and the Hare, the eighth is Moby Dick, and he last one is Stairway to Heaven. I need help with the others – I almost never see movies and am not big into music either! Someone help!

  5. Danielle says:

    I think 4 is Braveheart.

  6. Danielle says:

    I can’t get 2 (Star Wars?), 6,7 & 9.

  7. Barb Waldemar says:

    Last one: Stairway to Heaven?

  8. emballs says:

    #2 is 4 weddings and a funeral

  9. Jonathan B says:

    6 is Reservoir Dogs

  10. Danielle says:

9 is the Rolling Stones! And 7 is the Tortoise and the Hare maybe?

  11. Sara Mcd says:

    1. 3 little pigs, 5. gulliver’s travels, 7. tortoise and the hare, 8. moby dick

  12. UrbsDei21 says:

#5 is Gulliver’s Travels, and #7 is Moby Dick.

  13. Brittany says:

#5 Gullivers travels, #8 Moby dick?

  14. Debbie says:

(others, not necessarily in this order…) Three Little Pigs, Gulliver’s Travels, Moby Dick (?), Rolling Stones.

  15. Geo says:

    1. Three little pigs 2. Four Weddings and a Funeral 3. Snow White 4. ? 5. Gullivers Travels 6. Reservoir Dogs 7. The Tortoise and the Hare 8. Moby Dick 9. Rolling Stones 10. Stairway to Heaven

  16. Brittany says:

    What is #1??

  17. Brian Lee says:

This is what i figured so far:
    1. 3 little pigs
    2. ??
    3. Snow White and the 7 Dwarves
    4. Braveheart
    5. Gulliver’s Travels
    6. Reservoir Dogs
    7. Tortoise and the Hare
    8. Moby Dick
    9. Rolling Stones
    10. Stairway to Heaven

  18. Everett says:

When I saw 9 I thought of The Cure.

  19. Elston Gunn says:

The Rolling Stones had more than four members. I’d think beatles before stones. Or perhaps the Ramones since they’re in black.

    • Lizz says:

It the gray colour and the four are different angles of turns (right side up, on the left, upside down, on the right) don’t think the numbers have anything to do with the number of members in the band :)

    • mary says:

I thought Beatles, too. The Abbey Road album cover.

      • Becca says:

#9 has to be Rolling Stones because the block is rolling over (like a rolling stone). The number doesn’t matter in this one.

  20. Wiggy says:

I think #4 is Star Wars Episode 2, Attack of the Clones? And I was thinking #9 was YMCA-like – so The Village People, but rolling gray stones makes more sense.

  21. It’s just a bunch of lego.

  22. wadE says:

Are you sure #6 isn’t Clue? Got the rest except tortoise and the hair… Still not sure that’s right, but I’ll go with the crowd on that one.

  23. JaKi says:

I’m really not sure about #4: Do you really think it’s Braveheart? It reminds me of Star Wars and of I, Robot…

  24. DaF says:

    #4: “300″

  25. Mark says:

#2 Four Weddings and a Funeral
