Joking cop in trouble for dressing up like a female muslim Target employee
A St. Paul police officer who also works as Target security is currently undergoing investigation for a picture from last Halloween that just came to his department’s attention and the attention of the internet at large. It features the cop at a private party wearing a red hijab and a Target name tag…
In a statement, the officer said, “‘I apologize to anyone who may have been offended by the recently publicized photo.” And, in this case, I’d say this bland, cliche non-apology is exactly what was called for.
Also, the phone is a nice touch.

I don’t get what it is he is supposed to apologize for…? Halloween is a time when many people dress up as Somebody They’re Not. That’s just what it is. That’s how it works.
If apologies are necessary, I would like to apologize to cowboys, vampires, goblins, The Crow, computer nerds, cats, race car drivers, and zombies everywhere. I meant no offense by dressing up like you, and hope you can forgive me.
