Colbert is a known Tolkien nerd… he’s beaten Peter Jackson in similar faceoffs. He’s really brilliant.
There is something about Colbert’s interview style that makes it as though he’s been friends with these celebs for ages, and that is definitely on display here! It’s this wonderful way of interviewing that keeps me watching The Colbert Report night after night, even when I get caught up in my office at DISH while it’s on. I just make a point to schedule my break around it and watch it live in my break room anyways. It’s busy work days like those that always make me thankful to have DISH Anywhere. This nifty app connects my mobile devices to my home DVR’s recorded and live TV content, so I can watch all my shows just like I was in my living room even when I’m not. I don’t know how I’d stay up to date on The Colbert Report otherwise!
Of course, asking a Tolkien geek for 2 of the Valar is like asking a Bible geek for 2 of the 10 commandments… but still, hilarious. :)
