n September of 2015, eight-year-old, Abriel Bentley, received a soul crushing cancer diagnosis.
Seventeen rounds of chemotherapy later, she's got one powerful message for our new President.
Last fall, doctors diagnosed Abriel Bentley with Ewings Sarcoma...a very aggressive form of bone cancer.
After braving seventeen rounds of brutal chemotherapy, as well as leg surgery, Abriel finally went into remission this past summer.
But remission was just the first victory in this little fighter's battle!
Abriel is now using her experience and voice to raise more awareness for childhood cancer…helping ensure other kids just like her get access to the right resources.
So, the day after President Trump's inauguration, Abriel and her Team Abri team posted one seriously powerful video.
In it, she encourages our President to join her cause and “help us beat the odds against childhood cancer.”
Get those tissues ready...
Abriel does not hold back.
Along with sharing heart-wrenching moments from her hospital stays, Abriel’s explains that, “childhood cancer does not discriminate. It doesn’t have borders, only research to help.”
She pleads with our new President, requesting that he do all he can to increase the National Cancer Institute’s federal childhood cancer research funding.
Abriel may be young, but her message to President Trump is as mighty as mighty can be.
Abriel, you are our hero!
