Recently, photographer Jeremy Cowart was brought in to take pictures of the cast of the new show The Haves and the Have Nots. During the shoot, actor John Schneider was goofing around with the other actors and generally having a good time — smiling, joking, dancing, and doing celebrity impressions…

But when the photo shoot was done and people were leaving the studio, he asked Cowart to stay back and take a few more portraits. “There’s something going on and I just need a photo,” was all the detail he gave. Cowart grabbed his camera and they went back into the studio by themselves.

Then Schneider began to cry. Cowart was impressed by his acting and started taking pictures…

When he realized it was real, the camera started to feel inappropriate for the situation. He set it down and gave Schneider a hug. Schneider whispered to him, “My Dad died about an hour ago. I found out during our lunch break. And I wanted you to capture that for me.”

He looked at the last photo Cowart had snapped and said, “That’s it. That’s my Dad.”…
