The video shows him stopping after a certain point, it does not show the pressure stop building as he continues riding. Perhaps it is still in development. The concept is quite nice, but what happens when, as Stephen surmises, the tread wears down and the pump tube wears out? does the tire begin to leak air? Obviously you will need to replace it but how soon after the pumping mechanism is rendered inoperable, and how long will it take to wear that down? It seems to me that, self pumping or no, this tire will have the same, if not shorter, operation length as a regular bike tire.
