Building a narrow, wooden road along a sheer cliff in China

From The Daily Mail

Chinese workers are building a 3ft-wide road made of wooden planks on the face of [a cliff] that’s thousands of feet high.

Once finished, it is hoped sightseers will flock to here to edge along and admire the views.

The “road”…they’re assembling is on Shifou Mountain in Hunan Province and stands vertical at 90 degrees without any slopes or alcoves.

This is the same country that created the Three Rivers Gorge Dam, slowing the earth’s rotation by .06 miliseconds a day. I don’t understand these people.

Well, we all know how incredible China is at quality control. I can’t imagine ANYONE going up this thing. ANYONE.

::tour guide into microphone:: And to your left you will see mostly fog. This is the morning fog which dissipates about noon, when the smog clearly takes over. Feel free to set up camp and take in the view, but please, no fires. We are, after all, standing on kindling.
