Christopher Walken dancing in over 50 movies all perfectly spliced into a single music video

Mar 19, 2014 By Abraham

Before his transition to acting, Christopher Walken’s theater training focused on dance. Even though he moved on to be the thespian superstar we know him as, he didn’t leave his roots behind. In most his films, he seems to find a way to work at least a move or two into his role, scripted or not.

And here we have over 50 of these scenes all edited together into the best music video you’ll see today…

  1. ruth johnston says:

wow, thank you for this! i love mr. walken and this was just beyond words. really, thank you!

  2. Raja says:

I legitimately feel sorry for the interns that had to go through all that footage and mark the dance sequences.

    1. Sonia says:

Very skillfully put together. If you weren’t a fan of Christopher Walken before you would be after watching this. That man is so versatile and agile. A Comedic genius.

  3. Celine says:

I love love love love love love love…Christopher Walken… his acting, his looks, his everything…. and any man who can dance… and dance like THAT is sexy beyond words…. <3 <3 <3…. thank you thank you thank you for sharing this. #swoon :-)

    1. Nikki says:

That’s because this was a montage from all of his films, not any music videos. At any rate, the editing was bomb. Job well done.

  4. Sarah says:

Please credit the artist/editor who his responsible for this piece! It’s not an editorial, so credit is needed. Awaiting your reply.

  5. Barbara K Weaver says:

I loved how he responded when Conan O’Brien asked him about the hoax in 2006 announcing he was running for president. Conan asked him what he’d have used for a campaign slogan, and Chris came up with “What the Hell!” and “No more Zoos!” Still makes me laugh! And this was a WONDERFUL video! Thanks so much!

  6. nancy says:

I love the guy, been watching everything he’s done for years. I LOVED him as “the continental” on SNL. Too funny!!!

  7. Beverly says:

If you click the YouTube link, the editor is credited there. It turns out that HuffPost has a whole channel just for movie mashups.

  8. Diane Eberly says:

Love Walken and you have found the best of everyone of his movies. Enjoyed immensely, such fun to see.

  9. Helen says:

I need to know the 50 movies, please? I know Deer Hunter, Sleepy Hollow, (don’t think he danced in that one). I can’t remember the name of the one where his family lived under ground, Brandon Frazer was the son. The video was awesome!!!

  10. Ann says:

The movie he did with Brendan Frazer was “Blast from the Past”. I’d also love to know the names of all the movies that comprised this video. I really like Christopher Walken and would like to see the ones I have missed.

    1. Susan says:

Wish there was a list of all these movies. Would love to see the ones when he is quite young, slicked back hair and dancing on the bar. Seems like he did more dancing in movies than I realized.
      Love Christopher Walken!

  11. Cindy says:

I absoulutly LOVE Christopher Walken!!! he is so multi=talented and is funny and has the coolest voice, and the man can dance. I love seeing him in long hair, gotta find out which movies he had long hair in, for a long time I didn’t really see him in much after Deer Hunter, then he was in everything. he is great on SNL and, there is a video where he is dancing in a suit and it’s like he’s all over a mall, going up and down the walls, escaletors all over the place it is so cool and I can’t remember what I saw it on. I saw him on an interview and he seem very quite and subdued, Just Love Him!!!

    1. Shirl says:

It’s a video that he’s dancing all over the place in, Fatboy Slim’s Weapon Of Choice :) It’s wonderful!

  12. Mary says:

What a great & FAB mixture of Christopher’s dancing. Wish there was more & GREAT JOB to the ones who put this montage together. If you want to do another one of him, I’m ready

  13. Holdeen says:

One person out there got it right when they asked for more cowbells. C. Walken is my favourite actor and could’ve been another Fred Astaire in the right Era. Thank you so much, I smiled so hard this morning it brought a tear to my eye.

  14. Lisa says:

WHY?! This was freakin brilliant! By far the best I’ve seen. Please repost. Very talented editor!

  15. Priscilla gold says:

    I love Christopher
Walken! I think Pennies from Heaven was one of his movies , Catch Me If You Can too.
The Deer Hunter dancing at the wedding, Pulp Fiction, so many others. He danced in the Broadway Musical,
“Paint Your Wagon”. I loved him as the Continental on SNL. I’m laughing now thinking of him with his smoking jacket on and trying to seduce a lady who kept slapping him, freaking hilarious. That lady had an awesome big hand!
And, of course, we need more cowbells, lots more.

  16. Adam J says:

Everyone that is asking for a source should should look here: http://vimeo.com/supersmashtv

    and here: http://vimeo.com/90407771

It is effing despicable that Huffington post is taking credit for this and that people are buying that steaming load, as well as crediting them further on this site. If you watch the original on vimeo, you will notice that whoever posted this to huff, and this site, removed the opening few seconds that shows who made this. Smash TV deserves the credit. Their other mash-ups are brilliant as well. Take the time to check them out.

  17. Sasha says:

A bit disappointed. There were no clips from Peter Pan Live, which is what this generation will know him best as far as his dancing. I didn’t catch any of the Fatboy Slim video in it. And how, HOW, could you have any type of music based Christopher Walken montage without throwing in the line, “It needs more cowbell” – Especially with the C&C music factory song. There were some spots where that would have blended right in.

  18. Sarah says:

Too bad he didn’t still have even half those moves when he played Hook recently in Peter Pan Live on NBC. Worst Hood ever – he just did not do the part of Hook well at all. And what little dancing he did was sad.
