In 1952, a few weeks before Charlotte’s Web came out, E. B. White’s editor asked him to share his inspiration for the book with the publisher’s marketing department. Here is his thoughtful and intriguing response…

    “Charlotte’s Web” has remained my favorite book since I received a first edition of it as a child, nearly 60 years ago.

    I truly enjoyed this article.. EB White lived in Maine when he wrote Charlotte Web… I love all his books.. I had the pleasure of meeting his daughter-in-law .. His son Joel was a beautiful boat builder … This was great.. I will send it to my grandchildren.. They have read all his books also…thank you for sharing …
