in-Manuel Miranda is a national hero and an absolute delight. If you haven't listened to the Hamilton soundtrack, you should do so immediately. If you haven't watched Moana yet, are you even human? If you don't follow him on Twitter yet, you're only one click away from one of the happiest pieces of the Internet that exists (besides 22 Words, of course).
Miranda typically uses his Twitter account as a platform for sharing good morning greetings, good night wishes, and hilarious interactions with his fans.
However, as President Trump continues to mishandle the dire situation in Puerto Rico, Miranda used Twitter as a platform to share what he really thinks about the president. It's not complimentary.
Last week, President Trump berated the mayor of San Juan on Twitter.
He claimed that Democrats had told Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz that she should be nasty to him.
Really, she was just asking for help. Because, you know… Puerto Rico needs help after being devastated by multiple hurricanes.
But sure, Trump. Make it about you and your hurt feelings.
Lin-Manuel Miranda was not pleased by Trump's complaining tweet.
“You’re going to straight to hell,” he tweeted, directly tagging the president’s account.
“No long lines for you. Someone will say, ‘Right this way, sir.’ They’ll clear a path.”
Of course, Trump wasn't finished complaining about the mayor who hurt his feelings.
He said that she had poor leadership ability and was unable to get any workers to help.
Again, this was while she was asking for help for the people of San Juan who had been without electricity or adequate food and water since September 20.
It might interest you to know that Trump sent that second tweet while at the President's Cup golf tournament. Miranda called him out on that and doubled down on his original insult.
Saying that the mayor of San Juan wasn’t doing enough work is nearly as ridiculous as the president dedicating a golf trophy to hurricane victims.
Oh yeah, that also happened.
Trump still wasn't done complaining about the people of Puerto Rico. Because of course he wasn't.
He accused them of being spoiled and lazy, saying they “want everything to be done for them.”
Wowza. This guy just doesn’t stop, does he?
Lin-Manuel had the perfect response to this one, too…
