Biddy is an African Pygmy Hedgehog who lives in the Pacific Northwest. Whenever he gets the opportunity he goes on adventures, whether around town or out in the wilderness. Thankfully, his owners are with him to help him pose for some pictures and then post them to Instagram.

I love this so much! Biddy looks adorable. Definitely the most photogenic hedgehog I have ever seen.

So are many animals, often pets change their body clocks to be awake when their owners are, it’s not harmful for them to be out in the day, it’s just how they are biologically programmed to be awake when their prey are, and asleep when their predators are.

Shout out to the Northwest! looks like some of these pictures were shot around Mt Hood, the Columbia River and Portland in Oregon. Personally i am a huge fan of Joe’s Donuts in Sandy! Great Stuff! I stumbled upon this site and it was an awesome surprise to see a lot of my hometown!

  2. Ila says:

Cute but wouldn’t he like a girlfriend to travel with to see the sights? Maybe he’s lonesome for another hedgehog. I bet he is.

  3. sarah says:

He is very cute but when an APH gets too cold, it will try to hibernate and that can be fatal. They need consistent temperatures and also, they are nocturnal, they only come out at night….

  4. Common Sense says:

If the animal is awake, he can do as he pleases. Just because they’re MOSTLY nocturnal doesn’t mean they ALWAYS are.

Anyway, adorable post and pictures. This makes me want to get a hedgehog.

  5. Hedgefrog says:

I hope he was counter-protesting those anti-fluoride people, squeaking out, “strong teeth and quills! strong teeth & quills!!! I love fluoride!!!!!!!”
