How to write a hit worship song in less than 5 minutes

Feb 4, 2013 By Abraham

For currently or formerly churchgoing readers…

  1. Buck says:

Corporate worship songs have simple and familiar chord structures so that they’re easy to learn and sing. No one who writes them thinks they’re masterful art. Songs for corporate worship serve a purpose, so they are intentionally simple.

    1. Nathan says:

This mindset is very condescending to the congregation. Can’t expect too much from the masses, I guess. Nothing too complicated for them, let’s K.I.S.S. I think that songs should be written that will be remembered because they are epic and actually sound like the reality they are about.

  2. jonathan says:

Okay I gotta admit the ending was pretty funny. I totally understood that media team/ministry joke aha!!
