We have to give it to those terrapins, the picture exactly matched. Even better, it gave off shades of Hogwarts, which – definitely a plus.
The Austin Peay Govs quickly dropped by with a – “In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there” – another perfectly matched picture.
Look at that crowd, silent in the distance, waiting for a chance to see Saint Nick…
Then came Gamecock Athletics from the University of South Carolina with “The children were nestled all snug in their beds.”
Not to cast aspersions, but those children don’t look snug at all. In fact, they look like they’re in the middle of a busy football game. And it isn’t children so much as it is child. But he is very cute.
Darnit, we’ll just give it to South Carolina for having a cute kid in the picture.
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame continued the poem with a move straight out of left field. They embedded a video. Of dancing.
It accompanied the words, “While visions of Irishmen danced in their heads.”
Good job, Notre Dame (although we thought it was sugar plums, not Irishmen…)
Moving on, it was West Virginia University’s turn, and they did not disappoint. To the stanza, “And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,” they added the picture of man complete with an old-fashioned raccoon cap, tail and all.
