The year is 2017. A dinosaur gets into a war of words with Merriam-Webster dictionary on Twitter. Welcome to the Internet.
It began with Sue the T.rex — a "real" dinosaur you can view at Chicago's Field Museum — putting up a random Twitter poll.
She was asking what kind of content her followers would like to see more of, and no surprise, they wanted more drama in the form of feuds.
Ask and you shall receive, as Sue made the poor decision to pick a fight with Merriam-Webster dictionary, who is known for their witty comebacks.
This didn't bode well for Sue.
That’s a pretty confident statement, but one that the dictionary was more than ready for…
Now all I can see is Sue with her little T.rex arms trying to face palm herself but failing miserably.
Poor Sue, as Twitter was there to witness the takedown.
Bring that up again, Joe.
Only on Twitter, indeed.
Did Sue have a comeback or did she cower and fake extinction once again?
