More ants turning the color of the food they’re eating

A couple months ago, I posted a picture of ants changing colors as they drink colored water.

    Its an ant…why would you care if you handed it? There’s a million in my back yard we’re about to destroy.but if you like you can save us some money and come remove them without the use of pesticides

    These are Honeypot Ants, their abdomens are specially designed to hold copious amounts of food.

    They’re mostly found in Deserts or various other dry-year round environments.
