Pictionary Proposal! Boyfriend uses game night to pop the question [5 pics]

Mar 12, 2013 By Abraham 7

Here’s another adorably creative marriage proposal story to make it even harder for normal guys…but that’s OK, because it’s fantastic.

Redditor justmil tells the story of using an evening of Pictionary with friends to ask his girlfriend to be his wife…

In preparation, he went through the cards until he found one that had “Marry” as one of the options.

With fastidious Photoshopping and numerous reprints, he added “Me” to “Marry” and turned it into an “All Play.”

Halfway through game night, he and a friend rigged the deck so she’d get the card. She began to draw, having no idea that her stick-figure, bubble-speech sketch was a depiction of the moment about to happen…

He writes…

I was already on my knee and had the ring hidden in my hand. As she drew, I shouted out a lot of fake guesses like “ring!”, “propose!”, “marry!”, “getting engaged!” — I wanted her to work for it.

Finally when the moment was right, I shouted “MARRY ME!” and she said “yeah!” excited that I had finally guessed it. Then I looked at her, held out the ring, and calmly said, “Will you marry me?”

She was equal parts shocked and confused and it took her a good few seconds to realize what was happening.

Her first words were, “WHAT?!?”, followed by, “What is thaaat?!”, and finally, “Where did you get that??” She was beyond shocked.

After the initial surprise — and after he reminded her he was waiting for an answer — she said Yes.
