Australian singer-songwriter Sia is famously private, known for her giant bows and face-covering wigs she wears even while performing. So when someone tried to sell nude photos of her to her fans, we didn't exactly expect her to take kindly to the threat, but we also didn't expect that she'd respond the way she did — by releasing the photo herself. Everyone, meet your new hero, Sia.

In addition just being super cool, it has its function as well. “It’s for fun and for privacy,” she told Good Morning America. “I don’t need security detail. I don’t need anything special. I just walk around and I can do that and that’s a real luxury when you’re in my industry.”
But Sia forewent that privacy in a big way when she decided to take proactive measures against the person who was trying to sell nude photos of her:
“Someone is apparently trying to sell naked photos of me to my fans. Save your money, here it is for free. Everyday is Christmas!” she wrote to her 3.41 million Twitter followers, along with the first picture in question.
Full disclosure: Sia’s original tweet isn’t censored like this. We edited it. Here’s the original!
Obviously, her fans lost their minds (in a good way).
Releasing a naked photo of yourself isn’t the right move for everyone, but it’s just so refreshing to see a woman proudly display her body when someone else is trying to shame her for it and profit off of it.
Sia's move here is incredibly brave and incredibly GIF-worthy.
The people of Twitter showed mad respect for this courageous queen of pop. Sia was already pretty badass in everyone’s book, but this just solidified her gold status even further.
Sia wasn't going to let a rando exploit her body for "Cheap Thrills."
If it wasn’t before, it’s official now.
Sia’s “The Greatest.”
