Strangers from viral jam session reprise song on Kimmel with guest stars and a brass band

May 21, 2014 By Joey White 3

When three random guys got into an impromptu jam session on the sidewalk outside a grocery store last week, they couldn’t have predicted the worldwide attention they’d receive. A bystander impressed with the music started recording, and that video has nearly 9 million views on YouTube in just four days.

The music wasn’t a planned stunt, as Jimmy Kimmel quickly confirmed, but was really just three random guys who didn’t know one another. Kimmel did, however, bring them on his show, along with several celebrity guests and some horns, to recreate the jam session.

He even broke out a bass clarinet for the occasion…

That is a bass clarinet. Totally the dorkiest instrument in the whole band. Way to go, Jimmy. Rock that bass clarinet!

Thanks for the correction! It’s been updated. I should have double checked with someone who knows more about band instruments than me.
